What to bring:
Our home is fully furnished - all you really need are personal items, and groceries, and the willingness to let yourself dive into a full vacation. We provide some basics for the house, such as tea, cooking oil, and spices, but you will want to bring your own coffee, condiments, and personal food. During garden season we often like to share some fresh garden produce with our guests when available.
Personal Items you may want to remember - (all optional!):
+ swim gear (bath and beach towels provided)
+ sunscreen, sun hats, etc.
+ rain gear (rain is quite sparse in the summer, but you never know in temperate rainforest)
+ hiking boots/shoes
+ water shoes or waterproof sandals (for ocean beaches at low tide - barnacles and sharp oyster shells)
+ slippers (no shoes indoors)
+ re-usable shopping bags (we have many at the house, but handy if you're shopping on your way here!)
+ binoculars (we do have a pair or two here)
+ Life jackets - especially for kids (we provide 3 adult-size life-jackets)
+ computer or ipod - to hook up to speakers or tv
We provide:
+ furnished kitchen, beds & bathrooms
+ spices, some cooking oil, some tea selection
+ soaps & shampoos (only septic-safe, eco-friendly, biodegradable soaps on the property, please)
+ propane BBQ & propane

Testimonials
"Our annual Tao Alchemy Retreat was beautifully hosted in Village Bay Lake House. People came from near and far to make conscious shift into the New Year. When you step through the round doorway into the bright studio it feels like entering a magical space. The studio, kitchen, living room and bedrooms were warm, elegant and spacious and we felt comfortable. We had a delightful sauna with the hobbit door. Being close to the lake was a continual source of peace and calm for our meditative and healing practice."

"There is something magical about the space at the Watershed Lake house. First of all, the journey. Once you hit that gravel road and your cell reception kicks out, you are in a different world. You feel yourself drop in to the cycles of nature, as well as in yourself. You notice the color of the leaves on the trees, the sound of your breath. As soon as you make the turn off to the lake house, you see the pristine waters greeting you to the left. And then you come around the corner to the house, and the creative energy that has been caringly cultivated for years practically hits you in the face. You feel like you've arrived home even if you've never been here before."
Guiding the morning yoga practice during the Wayward art retreats has been such an enriching - and fun!- experience. The spacious studio overlooks the lake through the trees, with the forest at your back. The sun streams in through the windows and the vibe is cozy yet energized. It's one of those spaces where you can feel all the love and creativity that has been created in there still reverberating off the walls.
